What is Computer| Five Generations of Computer

COMPUTER: The computer is a Latin word Which drives from the word computare. In English, it means to compute. Compute means adding, calculating and reading.
Computer is an electronic device which is getting information or data from input devices Data and information being processing and after that gives result. The computer is an electronic data processing machine.

GENERATIONS OF COMPUTER:
First-generation of computer: Making the process of first-generation computer duration was 1944 to 1959. Vacuum tube invented for first-generation computers. Vacuum tube used in the first generation of computers. The first generation of computers was UNIVAC and I MARK2 which was running on the vacuum tube.
The second generation of computers: Making the process of second-generation computers was 1959 to 1965. The second generation of the computer used a transistor instead of a vacuum tube. The size of the second generation of Computers was small. The second generation of Computers was UNIVAC2 and IBM 600.
Third Generation of computer: Making the process of third-generation computer duration was 1965 to 1970. Silicon was used for the integrated circuits IC’s. Integrated circuits IC’s are used in the third generation of computers.
Fourth Generation of computer: Making the process of Fourth generation computer duration was 1970 to 1986. Microchips technology was used in the Fourth Generation of the computer. Microchips are the form of many transistors.
Fifth Generation of computer: Making the process of fifth-generation computer duration was 1986. Scientist was making chip from many transistors ULSI (Ultra Large Scale Integration) or VLSI(Very Large Scale Integration). Multiple processors are using in one computer.
